Its over

Well the first major campaign is over. The election was two days ago, and I spent the day handing out how to votes, and then the first part of the evening scrutineering. Kinda interesting experience.

The better part of the day was spent talking to another campaigner whom I thought would be diametrically opposed to my group, but I was amazed how much common ground we had. It was just our basic prejudices which differed. Its sad that we can’t combine on our common ground, as the media will destroy both our campaigns. Oh well. When we live in a democracy with a free and fair press then we’ll have a real chance.
